26 June 2024 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Repower Mornington are running a free session on heat pumps. Repower is a non-profit Mornington Peninsula volunteer run organisation interested in renewable energy.

Hot water is an important investment in terms of cost, comfort and reliability. Before the unthinkable happens and your hot water system suddenly gives up the ghost, be ready with your next step. Now is the time to learn all about heat pumps from an expert who knows them inside out….so you won’t need to panic next time your water runs cold.

A hot water heat pump is a highly efficient device used for heating water in residential or commercial buildings. It works similarly to a refrigerator but in reverse. Instead of removing heat from the interior and expelling it outside, a hot water heater pump extracts heat from the outside air – even in cold weather – and uses it to heat water.

Hot water heat pumps are considered environmentally friendly due to their efficiency – they can be two to three times more energy efficient than traditional electric or gas hot water heaters. They reduce energy consumption and C02 emissions, helping to lower energy bills and environmental impact.
