‘LIFT’ is the first creative collaboration for the Peninsula Culture Collective, a group of six key Mornington Peninsula organisations – Dreamhouse Theatre Company, Living Culture, MP Music Network, Peninsula Studio Trail, Peninsula Writers Club and Spark Productions.
LIFT is a free two day multi arts and cultural event for people of all ages. On Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May 11- 5pm, the Dromana Community Hall, Old Shire Offices and surrounding public space will transform into an arts and cultural precinct. Participants can enjoy music, dance and theatre performances, cultural practices including a smoking ceremony and yidaki meditation, plus multiple participatory workshops throughout the day, inspired by the theme LIFT.
Get involved in mixed media – drawing, collage, monotype (printmaking) sessions, a writing from the senses workshop and a special spontaneous choir experience. Plus exciting workshops in contemporary dance and theatrical improvisation for kids, youth and adults alike. All free. Bring a picnic, find a spot under the palms and stay for the day!
