Western Port Writes is thrilled to present a night of storytelling with renowned food and wine writers Richard Cornish and Max Allen. Hear the mesmerising tale of Western Port’s Angasi oyster – an ancient food source for the Bunurong People, its near-disappearance in the 19th century and recent efforts to restore the oyster reefs.
Held at Merricks Store, the evening commences with a tasting of the rare Angasi oyster matched with Elgee Park Cuvee Brut and Baillieu Brut. This special night features a gourmet three-course meal, paired premium wines and non-alcoholic options, by a crackling fire. Don’t miss this unique chance to taste food history while hearing a local story of discovery.
Note: Alternative non-oyster menu option available
